Jason Hackett is a dedicated coach and active competitor. Born and raised in the Coachella Valley, Jason’s athletic journey began on the basketball court. At the age of 16, he started athletic training at Dynamic Athletix, where he was introduced to the Hargett brothers. Under their guidance, he not only received training but also found mentors who would later shape his journey in Jiu-Jitsu.
At the age of 23, after years of working alongside the Hargett brothers in their athletic training facility, Jason transitioned from the basketball court to the Jiu-Jitsu mat. This pivotal move marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, as he embraced the martial art and the impact it can have on personal development. As an instructor, he takes immense pride in witnessing the growth of his students, both in skill and character.
For nearly five years, Jason has been at Six Blades La Quinta, dedicating himself to the martial arts lifestyle and sharing his passion for Jiu-Jitsu with the community. Beyond the mats, Jason has proven himself as a formidable competitor, becoming an American National Champion, Pan American Medalist and No-Gi Pan American Medalist. Driven by a passion for the art and a commitment to inspire others through its pursuit, Jason embodies the spirit of growth and camaraderie in the Jiu Jitsu community.
