Our team of Instructors and Professional Athletes are internationally ranked champion. Black belts with many years of teaching experience, they bring together their experience as coaches and athletes to inspire and help you to achieve your goals.
Steve Hargett is a Combat Veteran (USMC) and First Degree Black Belt under Xande Ribeiro. He is still an active competitor and is currently a top ranked Master 2 Middleweight competitor with the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) winning a World Master Championship in 2013 (Purple Belt) and NoGi World Championship 2015 (Brown Belt). He is the 2019 American National Champion (Black Belt) and is the Silver Medalist of the 2019 NoGi World Championship.
As a Former Marine Steve believes many people lack the strength, confidence, and fortitude to deal with the struggles of life. He firmly believes in the need for strengthening and empowering the members of Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu La Quinta and all the Coachella Valley to help build a community of strong individuals that are confident, prepared, and ready to face the challenges that lay ahead.
Christopher Hargett is a Black Belt under his brother Steve Hargett. Professional athlete registered at International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), he competes in the ultra-competitive Adult lightweight division.
He has been training and competing since the age of sixteen, known for having a well rounded game and specializing in submissions.
Christopher has spent over a decade learning about athletic performance and rehabilitation. He holds a National Academy of Sports Medicine CPT, is a certified Pilates Instructor and a Muscle Activation Techniques Specialist.
He enjoys working with kids age 4+ and teaches adults and competitors as well. Him and his brother founded their company in 2020 who’s mission is to is to build a community of strong individuals that feel confident, prepared, and safe.
