Do you want to start training Brazilian jiu-jitsu and don't know how? Our Jiu-Jitsu Beginners Program is designed for you.

We understand being a beginner in a new environment can be intimidating and confusing, because we’ve been there. The Jiu Jitsu Journey is as humbling as it is rewarding. Each challenge overcome works towards becoming a more fulfilled and confident person. 

We want to help you start your Jiu Jitsu Journey with a solid foundation in the basics.

The classes are designed for people with no experience. We will guide you in learning the basics of Jiu Jitsu. With our 8-week program you will learn: how to survive and escape, Takedowns, Guard, Guard Passing, Mount, and some submissions. Everything in a structured system that will give you a big picture of what the Jiu Jitsu Journey is all about.

Why jiu-jitsu?


BJJ provides an intense, full-body workout that is perfect for losing weight, increasing muscle mass, and getting in great shape, all while having fun and learning a life skill.


Jiu Jitsu is a method of attack and defense based on using leverage and timing to gain the advantage against an attacker. After mastering the fundamentals of self defense, those with competitive desires can eventually test themselves in a competition under the guidance of their Sensei.

Jiu-Jitsu techniques are based on leverage, which often allows the smaller, weaker person to overcome size and brute strength by using technique.


Jiu Jitsu will keep you humble. Even if you're the most athletic person, you'll eventually experience getting submitted by someone. And there is nothing wrong with that, it is all apart of the path to mastery.


BJJ is a strong community following. Despite being an individual sport, Jiu Jitsu brings people together. The people you train with become your team, friends, and family.

BEGINNERS Program Structure

Our classes have three phases: Warm up, Technique/drilling, and sparring. The difference of a regular class and the beginner’s class is that here the sparring is specific, with movements limited to what you are learning in this program. This training method creates a safer environment for you and your partners.


8 weeks

You can start anytime during the 8-weeks program and complete your 8 weeks full circle as the program is revolving

4 Classes a week

The classes are from Monday to Thursday 6:25 pm. If you can’t attend this time, no problem. The beginner’s program is recommended but not mandatory. You can start in any other “all levels class”.


The Beginners program was designed to keep you and your partners safe. From the warm up until the sparring, everything is planned and controlled to keep you safe as possible.


We have a well-structured Curriculum where you will learn the basics of BJJ: survival, boton and top game, as well as submissions.
