4 Pillars of a Black Belt

Head Instructor
As a dedicated coach and competitor with over 18 years of experience in Jiu Jitsu and martial arts, I describe choosing Jiu Jitsu as the best decision of my life. I believe that martial arts exemplifies the idea that anyone, regardless of their background, can “live like a champion” by applying the principles of maximum efficiency and effectiveness in daily life.
As a young kid, martial arts became my greatest source of confidence-a foundation I now channel into my work and personal life. My journey in Jiu Jitsu has given me renewed energy, purpose, and focus, which I dedicate to my family and to the students who share my passion for self-improvement.
Head Instructor
I approach my martial arts journey in the same manner I approach all other areas of my professional and personal life, with a deep-rooted commitment to gaining and passing on knowledge. Raised in Santa Ana, California, I am a Coachella Valley transplant with strong connections to the valley as a dedicated youth coach for nearly a decade. Growing up, I was always surrounded by a vibrant art scene that profoundly influenced my life. This artistic environment instilled in me a relentless pursuit of personal growth and an appreciation for the process of learning.
My path in Jiu Jitsu is not just about personal victories; it’s deeply intertwined with a sense of obligation to share my knowledge. I believe that the skills and insights I’ve gained are not just for me but for the betterment of others. This philosophy extends beyond the mats; it’s a way of life. My classes are more than just physical training; they are lessons in character, resilience, and the art of living.
Above all, the pursuit of knowledge is what truly drives me. I see every challenge as an opportunity to learn and every setback as a chance to grow stronger. This mindset has made me not just a skilled martial artist but a dedicated professor to my students.
